Karen Magee Williams

Karen Magee Williams, age 70 and a resident of the Lawrence Creek Community passed away Wednesday morning November 12, 2025 at Brookside Rehabilitation Center in Bogalusa, following a lengthy illness. Karen was born May 2, 1955 and later graduated from Thomas High School where she was a star basketball player. She had a long career as a Registered Nurse, working for many years at Highland Park Hospital in Covington and also serving at Riverside Medical Center and St. Tammany Parish Hospital before retiring. Karen loved gardening for both vegetables and flowers. If she wasn’t working, you would find her with her hands in the dirt, often tending to her beautiful flower beds. She was a longtime member of Lawrence Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Karen loved spending time with her grandchildren and large family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Otha Williams, Jr, step-children Otha Michael Williams, Victoria Williams Cox, parents C. Woodrow Magee and Wilkie Thomas Magee, brothers Glen Magee, Jimmy Magee, brother and sister in law Bob and Ramona Magee, sister in law Jackie Magee, father in law and mother in law Otha Williams, Sr. and Audrey Williams, brothers in law Walter Lavinghouse, Bill Kennedy, Elmo McNeese, sister in law Judy Pope Williams, sister in law and brother in law Aline and Billy Graves
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday November 14th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Friday with Eld. Duane Ball and Eld. Richard Magee officiating. Burial will follow in the Magee Cemetery at Lawrence Creek.
