Slidell-area Arrest - Impounded Vehicle, Illegal Drugs

Gino Monaco, age 50 and of Harvey, was arrested Sunday (October 5, 2025) by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office after Monaco unlawfully attempted to remove his impounded vehicle from a Slidell-area wrecker yard. Illegal narcotics were located inside his impounded vehicle.

Investigators with the STPSO Narcotics Division assisted the Criminal Patrol Division with the investigation.

Located inside the impounded vehicle were 8 grams of Ketamine, 108 grams (3.8 ounces) of psilocybin mushrooms, 7 grams of cocaine, 3 dosage units of  unlawfully possessed Xanax, 1 unlawfully possessed hydrocodone tablet, 8 dosage units of unlawfully possessed amphetamine, 1 grams of marijuana, and $2,605

Monaco was taken into custody and booked into the STPSO Correctional Center on the charges of Unlawful Entry of a Place of Business, Unauthorized Removal of a Motor Vehicle, Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Schedule I CDS (Psilocybin Mushrooms), Possession of a Schedule II CDS (Cocaine), Possession of a Schedule II CDS (Hydrocodone), Possession of a Schedule II CDS (Amphetamine), Possession of a Schedule III CDS (Ketamine), Possession of a Schedule IV CDS (Xanax), Transactions Involving Proceeds from Drug Offenses, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
