Ella Mae Skiffer
January 16, 1947 - October 9, 2025
On Thursday, October 9, 2025 God sent His Angels to carry Ella Mae home to be with her Lord and Savior.
Ella Mae Skiffer was the second child born to George West “Pipe” Skiffer and Luella Skiffer on January 16, 1947 in Shivers, MS. At an early age she moved to Bogalusa, LA with her family and accepted Christ as her Savior.
Ella Mae attended Central High School of Bogalusa, LA. After she obtained her GED, she went to work for Pioneer Pcrachute Company for many years. Later she became employed with Bogalusa Medical Center as a Book Keeper and work her way up to House Keeping Supervisor, where she worked for 27years. After retirement she became employed at Walmart for several years. After which she worked for Pride and Hope Ministries Sitting Services until her health failed. She worked each job faithfully.
Ella Mae was a member of Christ Way Ministries.
Her memories will be cherished by her four children, Marshall (Justas) Adams, Jacqueline Louise Adams, Roger (Paula) Adams, and Janice Adams Johnson; her great grandchild who she adopted and raised from a baby, Courtlyn Adams.; one brother, Minister Robert Earl (Regina) Skiffer; one sister, Tinie Mae Magee; eleven grandchildren, La’Keisha, La’Teisha, Meshah, Takeyah, Markeem, Markel, MaKayla, Devin, Carlos, Tiana, Kamerson; four great grandchildren, Courtlyn Chantaisa, Zariyah, and Zaylianna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Luella Skiffer; one sister, Pearlie Mae Ratliff; two brothers-in-law, Rev. James Magee, Sr. and Esco Ratliff, Sr.; one grandchild, Jacinda; one great grandchild, Jailand.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM followed by the funeral service at 1:00PM at Christ Way Ministries with Pastor Micheal O’Ree – Officiating. Interment will be held at the Bogalusa Cemetery.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Bogalusa is in charge of arrangements.
