Central Evlyn Flot
March 13, 1957 - September 28, 2025
Central Evlyn Flot, age 68 and of Lacombe, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday September 28th, 2025 at Slidell Memorial Hospital. He was born to the late Elmo Flot Sr. and Ola Mae Flot.
He is survived by his daughter Lacey Denice Flot, A devoted loving partner and caregiver Joan “Tracy” Casnave, grandchildren Alex Williams, Amara Myers, and Rayden Page; siblings, Alfreda Williams, Baron (Latonya) Flot, Mae Ola Crain, Patricia (Latimore) Holmes, Vera (Remy) Williams, Lisa Jefferson, Gretchen Dillon, and Anthony Flot; uncles Merlin and Samuel Ducre, Aunt Alzola Ducre; a special cousin Amanda Ducre, and his best friend Isiah Casnave.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elmo and Ola Mae Flot; his only beloved son, Central “Scooter” Flot Jr.; siblings Tyrone, Kariel, Elmo, Cheioquito, Christopher, and Gwen.
Central attended Bogalusa High School but completed his high school curriculum through the Gary Job Corps Center in San Marcos, Texas where he studied and completed the construction program. He was employed within the Southeast Louisiana Hospital Psychiatric Facility as a psychiatric-technician supervisor. He was also a skilled craftsman and fantastic cook.
Central will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and friend by all who knew. His ability to always have a quick come-back and matter-of-fact response will linger in all our hearts. The family gatherings at his home and the meals from his kitchen will keep our hearts lifted.
A memorial service and celebration will be on Saturday October 4th, 2025, at the Crain and Son Funeral Chapel in Bogalusa, Louisiana at 11am. A repast will follow at Lat’s and Pat’s Venue on Marshall Richardson Road in Bogalusa.
