Carolyn Jenkins Thomas
January 10, 1938 - October 28, 2025
Carolyn Thomas, age 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family October 28, 2025 in Bush, LA. She was retired from the State of Louisiana, enjoyed going to auctions, and was a member at Church of United Faith-UPC in Bogalusa, LA.
She is survived by husband: Dennis Thomas; one daughter: Melissa Kolb (Ryan); a brother: James “Trusty” Jenkins (Sheila); a grandson: A.J. Kolb; one granddaughter: Bre Echeverria; a niece: Robin Williams (Curt); two nephews: Shannon Stewart (Priscilla) and Michael H. Jenkins; and five great-nephews.
Mrs. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents: James A. Jenkins and Esther Lee Terrell; one son: James “Linnie” Echeverria; two daughters: Terri Lynn Echeverria and Rebecca Mann; and a granddaughter: Katelynn Mann.
Pallbearers proudly serving the family are as follows: Oneal Ard, Trusty Jenkins, Robert Terrell, Curt Williams, Delbert Talley, and Shannon Stewart.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Visitation will start in the funeral home chapel at 11AM Friday, October 31, 2025, until time of service at 2PM. Interment will immediately follow at Talley’s Chapel in Sun, LA. Bro. Stanley Talley will officiate all services.
