Albin Joseph St. Pierre III, lovingly known as “Al,” passed away on October 10, 2025, at the age of 75. He was a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, Louisiana, born to the late Albin Joseph and Nathalie St. Pierre II.
Al is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Polly St. Pierre; his son Trent St. Pierre (Shanda) and daughter Danielle Jeanfreau (Mike). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Blaine Bates (Bailee), Austin St. Pierre (Kelsey), Caleb St. Pierre (Cassidy), Joseph Jeanfreau (Keely), Layla Jeanfreau, and Grace St. Pierre; and great-grandfather to Brody, Blake, Briella, Allie, Kendall, Brayden, Cori, and Cal. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Therese Richard.
Al graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1968 and from Louisiana State University in 1972. He retired after 44 years of dedicated service as an Engineer Supervisor at the Bogalusa Paper Mill.
Family was the center of Al’s world. He especially loved cooking for the people he loved most, gathering everyone around the table for good food and laughter. A true LSU Tiger through and through, his passion for his team was legendary — and everyone knew not to interrupt the game!
Al’s legacy of love, loyalty, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Catholic service will be held in the Chapel of Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. with Deacon Ed Kelley officiating. Interment to follow in the Garden of Peace Cemetery, Bogalusa, Louisiana.
