Samuel Oneal Pigott

August 21, 1941 - September 30, 2025

Samuel Oneal Pigott of Angie, LA was born August 21, 1941 to the late Neal Huderson and Eloise Pigott and was called home on September 30, 2025 at the age of 84. He attended school at Wesley Ray. He worked as a butcher for Schwegmann’s Grocery in New Orleans, LA. He also did many odd jobs in the community.

Samuel was married to the late Octavia Morris Pigott and to this union three children were born, Dmetria Pigott Peters, Shywanda Pigott Galloway and the late Rochell Pigott.

Samuel leaves to cherish his memories, two children, Dmetria Pigott Peters and Shywanda Pigott Galloway; one brother, Will Peters; one sister, Geraldine Pigott; one sister-in-law, Ella Rose Morris; six grandchildren, Brucious (Amanda) Pigott, Brenetia (Jason) Helmstaedter, Brittney Pigott, LaToya Galloway, Jalisa (Desmond) Otis, Mi’chelle Raines; fourteen great grandchildren, Dahlia Pigott, Ryan Pigott, Selenia Pigott, Winter Pigott, Engelle Pigott, Hailey Helmstaedter, Octavious Galloway, JMireyah Galloway, Quovari Galloway, KyMani Galloway, Malachi Galloway, Desmond Otis, Jr., DeMonei Raines, DeMarri Raines; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Samuel was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; one son Rochell Pigott; two brothers, Otis Moses and Theodore “Bomber” Sandifer; and one son-in-law, Daniel Peters.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM followed by the funeral service 1:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home.
