Tropical Disturbances Today

Disturbance 1. Tropical Storm Gabrielle is expected to pass east of Bermuda Sunday night and Monday. Gabrielle is located about 685 miles SE of Bermuda moving NW at 13 MPH with 50 MPH maximum sustained winds. There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.

Disturbance 2. Eastern Tropical Atlantic: A tropical wave remains over the eastern Atlantic and is producing disorganized shower and thunderstorm activity well southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands.  Some slow development of this system is possible through the middle to latter part of next week while it moves west-northwestward across the eastern and central tropical Atlantic. Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent and formation chance through 7 days...low...20 percent.
