Disturbance 1. Tropical Depression Seven has formed over the Central Atlantic. The system is located about 1185 miles ESE of the Northern Leeward Islands and moving west at 13 MPH with 35 MPH maximum sustained winds. A west-northwestward to northwestward motion across the tropical and subtropical central Atlantic is expected during the next few days. The system could become a tropical storm later today or tonight. There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.
Disturbance 2. Eastern Tropical Atlantic: A tropical wave is located just east and southeast of the Cabo Verde Islands. Environmental conditions are only marginally conducive, and any development of this system should be slow to occur while it moves westward at 15 to 20 mph across the eastern and central portion of the tropical Atlantic. Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent and formation chance through 7 days...low...20 percent.
