Firearms, Drugs Located at Slidell-area Home

After receiving information indicating illegal drug activity was occurring at a residence in the 100
block of Mirecourt Circle in Slidell, detectives with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Division obtained a warrant to search the home on September 11, 2025. With the assistance of deputies with the STPSO Proactive Enforcement Unit, STPSO Narcotics detectives searched the residence, where they located and seized 38 grams of fentanyl powder, 45 grams of Ecstasy pills containing methamphetamine (separately packaged within 13 bags), 54 grams of crack cocaine (separately packaged within 8 bags), 5 grams of cocaine powder, 54 grams of “green rock” fentanyl, 52 grams of marijuana, one Glock 17 “M” semi-automatic handgun, one Taurus G2C semi-automatic handgun, 8 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) gummies, 43 grams of Kratom powder, $2,067 dollars, and assorted drug paraphernalia to include packaging material and scales.

As a result of the investigation, 34-year-old Troy Smith and 21-year-old Dasha Johnson, who both lived at the home, were arrested.

Smith was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on the charges of  L.R.S. 40:967A Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS (Cocaine) - 2 Counts, L.R.S.  40:967APossession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS (Fentanyl) - 2 counts, L.R.S. 40:967A Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine), L.R.S. 40:966A Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule I CDS (Marijuana), L.R.S. 14:95 E Illegal Carry of weapon in the presence of a CDS, L.R.S 14:95.1  Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, L.R.S. 40:1041  Transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses, L.R.S. 14:130.1  Obstruction of Justice, and L.R.S. 40:1023C Drug Paraphernalia.

Johnson was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on the charges of L.R.S. 14:130.1 Obstruction of Justice, L.R.S. 40:1023C Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and L.R.S. 40:966.1 Possession of Kratom.
