Source: Press Release from Washington Parish Government
Washington Parish President Ryan Seal has engaged Eagle Environmental to monitor air, water, and soil conditions across the Parish.
✅ Monitoring efforts are currently taking place in the Stoney Point area with President Seal, Councilman King, and Eagle Environmental on-site.
✅ Mobile air-monitoring units are in operation.
✅ Samples are being collected from ponds, pools, creeks, ditches, and crops.
📢 If you notice unusual odors, residue, or changes in your water, please email parish officials at wpohsep@gmail.com, in order that it can be documented and investigated.
Once again, we ask that you remain aware and take a few simple precautions to mitigate any potential risk. Limit contact. Stay indoors to limit exposure to any airborne particles. Wash your hands with soap and water if you believe you've come in contact with any contaminants.
The Parish is committed to ensuring the safety of our residents and will continue to share updates as results become available. Once we know, you'll know.
