Robert "Bob" Robertson, Jr.
November 1, 1939 - August 20, 2025
Robert "Bob" Robertson, Jr., age 85 and a resident of Canaan Community, passed away August 20, 2025. He was a member of both Bethel Baptist Church and also later a member of Canaan Baptist Church near Stoney Point.
Bob was a US Navy veteran and also served many years in the Louisiana National Guard in Franklinton Louisiana. He worked and ultimately retired from WST Electric in Franklinton. Bob was very active with the Washington Parish Fair as he worked as one of the electricians at the fair for many years. He loved people and would help anyone that he could. He also was an active member of the FHS Band Boosters and spent many years supporting the Band during travels and fundraisers. One of Bob’s passions was classic cars and racing. He loved to watch NASCAR and owned a classic mustang convertible that he took to car shows for many years. His biggest passion was obviously spending time with his family, grandkids, great grandkids and friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survived by: Wife of 62 years: Janice Morgan Robertson of Franklinton; Son and daughter-in-law: Jerry and Rhonda Robertson of Ruston, LA; Grandkids: Morgan Sehon and Husband Miles of Ruston, LA., Andrew Robertson and wife Taylor of Seabrook, TX; Great Grandkids: Preslie Drysdale, Ezra and Isiah Sehon of Ruston, LA; Sister: Diane Lee of Loranger; Also several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert D Robertson, mother Beatrice Cutrer Robertson and brother Morris Leon (ML) Robertson all of Amite.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home on Friday August 22nd from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and after 10:00 am on Saturday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Saturday with Rev. Stan Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery.
