Mamie S. Blevins

June 25, 1926 - August 2, 2025

Mamie S. Blevins went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2025, at Timeless Grace Assisted Living Center Facility at the age of 99.

Mamie was born on June 25,1926, in Kemper County, Mississippi. In 1962, she moved from Madison Parish to Washington Parish, Louisiana, where she made her home and built a life of faith, service, and love.

She worked for many years in the telecommunications industry, retiring from BellSouth Communications. Mamie was also devoted member of Memorial Baptist Church, faithfully serving in several capacities until her health no longer allowed. Her unwavering faith and dedication to her church touched countless lives.

Mamie is survived her three children: daughters Barbara (Elmo) Sanchez of Baker, Louisiana, and Beth (Alan) Lang of Franklinton, Louisiana and son Paul (Barbara) Lee of Bogalusa, Louisiana. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hal Hamilton Stuart and Ella Knight Stuart; six sisters, and three brothers; as well as her husbands, Porter B. Lee (father of her children), John P. Tynes, and W.J. Blevins.

Mamie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all that was blessed to know her.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Keith Sheridan and Rev. Dennis Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponemah Cemetery, Bogalusa, LA

A visitation will be held Tuesday morning at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until Funeral Service time at 2:00 P.M.

Pallbearers will be Seth Lee, Steven Branch, Alan Lang, Josh Crain, Colby Lee, and Preston Lee
