Natalbany Man Arrested for Child Rape

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO), in collaboration with the Hammond Police Department, has arrested 42 year-old Willie Jackson, III, a Natalbany man for several instances of rape of a child relative. Jackson was taken into custody on July 29, 2025 on one count each of First Degree Rape- Victim Under 13, First Degree Rape and Molestation of a Juvenile as well as two counts of Aggravated Crimes Against Nature.

Back in November, 2024, the Hammond Police Department contacted TPSO’s Juvenile detective team regarding the investigation of a rape case involving a 12-year-old. The victim reported multiple instances of sexual abuse by Jackson dating back five years prior and occurring in at least two other states as well as in Tangipahoa Parish. Following a thorough investigation alongside our state, local and community partners like the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), a warrant was issued for Jackson’s arrest.

Despite efforts to locate Jackson in multiple locations across the country, he remained wanted until Hammond Police learned the suspect was possibly at a home within their jurisdiction. On the morning of July 29, 2025, TPSO and Hammond Police conducted an arrest operation and Jackson was taken into custody.

The TPSO would like to thank Hammond PD for their partnership in getting overdue justice and protection for this victim and making this arrest.

***All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty***
