In the past two weeks, the Hammond Police Department Narcotics Division has conducted multiple search warrants leading to the arrests of multiple individuals and the seizure of illegal narcotics, firearms, body armor, and money.
- On July 29, 2025, a search warrant was conducted at a residence on East David Drive. During this search, Jamion Jackson, 36 years old of Hammond, and Juan Jackson, 31 years old of Hammond, were arrested. Jamion was on probation and arrested for illegal narcotics and on weapon charges. Juan held multiple felony warrants and was arrested for these warrants, as well as resisting arrest.
- On July 31, 2025, a search warrant was conducted at a residence on Kansas Street. During this search, Reginald Bernard, 49 years old of Hammond, was arrested. Bernard was on probation and arrested for illegal narcotics, on weapon charges, and for possession of body armor as a convicted felon and destruction of evidence.
- On August 5, 2025, a search warrant was conducted at a residence on Rosewood Drive. During this search, Tarell Harvey, 31 years old of Hammond, was arrested. Harvey was arrested for illegal narcotics and multiple counts of cruelty to juveniles after detectives located three children inside the residence, where the illegal narcotics were accessible by the children.
These search warrants were executed with the assistance of the HPD SWAT Team, the HPD Street Crimes Unit, the HPD K-9 Division, and the HPD Patrol Division.
No matter the quantity, illegal narcotics are a crime, and the Hammond Police Department will take necessary action to prevent illegal narcotics from being distributed in the Hammond community.
