Tropical Depression Chantal, formerly Tropical Storm Chantal, is located inland over eastern Virginia. Chantal is expected to continue bringing life-threatening surf and rip currents along the coast from northeastern Florida to the Mid-Atlantic states during the next day or so. Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 7 days.
