Shooting at 4 am in Fluker Injures 8 Year-Old

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) needs the public’s help gathering information about a shots fired incident that occurred in the Fluker area overnight that injured a child sleeping inside of a home.

Around 4:00 a.m. this morning (July 10, 2025),  911 began receiving reports about shots fired in the 12000 block of Guiteau Mill Road. Shortly after, a mother called reporting that she had just discovered a bullet hole in an exterior wall of her home and that her 8-year-old son had been shot in the foot. The child was transported to an area hospital and is in stable condition.

This is an active investigation and detectives could use more help from the public with information circulating through the community especially regarding possible involved vehicles and/or suspects.
