John Warren Sharp

March 30, 1970 - July 4, 2025

John Warren Sharp, a beloved resident of Bogalusa, Louisiana, passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on March 30, 1970, John was known for his warm heart, sharp sense of humor, and a generous spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He never met a stranger—his friendly nature and easy conversation made people feel instantly welcome and at ease.

A proud graduate of Bogalusa High School, John was a standout basketball star in his youth. His talent on the court was matched by his sportsmanship, leadership, and dedication to his team—traits that shaped his character and built the foundation for lifelong friendships.

John is survived by his mother, Kathy Smith Grosche of Bogalusa, LA; his sister, Lisa Sharp (JP Calais) of Pensacola Beach, FL; his brother Charles Grosche II (Cheryl) and a host of dear friends who will carry his memory in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his fathers Gary Warren Sharp and Charles Grosche Sr., and his sister, Krystal Lynn Sharp.

Visitation and services for John will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home, located at 216 Alabama Ave. in Bogalusa, on Friday July 11th starting at 9:00 a.m. until funeral service at 11:00a.m.  The Rev. Jeff Howard will officiate, and interment will follow in Ponemah Cemetery, with a reception to follow at the B&C Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in John’s memory to Washington Parish Humane Society, honoring his lifelong commitment to kindness.

May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
