Joseph Noble, Jr.
June 30, 1932 - July 2, 2025
It is with peace and sadness that we want to let family and friends know, our dad passed 4th of July close to 11PM. He celebrated his 93rd birthday on Monday, June 30, 2025, and almost all his grands and great-great grands came and sang him happy birthday. He loved his family. He was a member of the Genealogy Society and very proud of his Scottish heritage. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, and was on the St. Tammany Parish Library Board. He was an Army veteran, and began his long career in law enforcement walking a beat as a Baton Rouge city cop and was promoted to Juvenile Officer, followed by Detective where he was called “Goldfinger” because he liked to use gold fingerprint dust. Because of this, he was proudly given the badge number 007 upon his retirement from the City of Baker Police Department. He was also a Bush volunteer fireman. He was a life-long Methodist, who became a lay minister and Delegate entry for the Bush United Methodist Church. He loved taking kids on mission trips.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph E. Noble, Sr., and Arta Cowart Noble; his wife of 67 years: Patricia Carpenter Noble; and three grandchildren: Jeffory Lane Miller, Jason Scott Noble, and Brandy Renee Noble.
He is survived by his children: Toni Noble Buckley and her husband, Jim Buckley; Joseph Edward Noble III, Paul Leon Noble, and Stacey Lynn Noble; three grandchildren: Gregory Scott Miller and his wife, Kathleen Denise Miller; Sarah Ann Massey, and Paul Leon Noble, Jr.; several great-grands: Zackory Scott Miller, Jacob Lane Miller, Aaron Luke Miller and his wife, Dana East Miller, Joshua Ty Miller, Kyleigh Grace Miller, Buckie Noble, Isabell Ann Massey, Jude Paul Massey, and Jason Scott Provost Jr.; and great-great grandson: John Scott Miller and more on the way.
The family would like to thank the staff of Amera Assisted Living for loving and caring for our father. We would also like to thank the staff of The Hospice of Baton Rouge for the expert professionalism and their supportive end of life care team.
