Eloise Spears Thomas

Eloise Spears Thomas, age 88 and a resident of Thomas, died Saturday morning July 19, 2025 at her residence. She was a member of Thomas Baptist Church where she fulfilled many roles within the church as well as a deacon’s wife. She was always known for her delicious chicken and dumplings. She enjoyed bringing food to the sick and always had an open door policy for her table. She enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports and other activities. She enjoyed fishing with her husband Elbert even though she could not swim a lick. Her family meant the world to her and she was very family oriented always wanting the family to be together. She loved taking pictures and has boxes of pictures to prove.
Survived by: Children and spouses: LaQuinn and Janice Thomas, Lester and Janet Thomas, Valerie Jordan, Elton Thomas; Grandchildren and spouses: Kristen and Jeff Seay, Heather and Ryan Freeman, Blake and Noel Thomas, Hannah and Tyler Jones, Josh and Rachel Thomas, Adam and Hannah Thomas, Shana Turnage, Amanda and David Bush; Great Grandchildren and spouses: McKayla and Tyler Ard, Rylan Freeman, Harrison and Laken Freeman, Preston Freeman, Brynlee Jones, Zayden Jones, Sterlin Jones, Gatlin Jones, Jase Thomas, Jaxson Thomas, Braylan Thomas, Dylan Ritchie, Evan Seay, Sadie Rozinek, Nathan Rozinek, Cameron Turnage, Lennox Turnage, Adalyn Turnage, Connor Bush, Jaxon Bush, Raylee Bush, Lauren Thomas; Great great grandchildren: Knox Ard, Maverick Freeman; Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death her mother Viola (Lovie) Spears, her husband Elbert Thomas and a grandson Alan Thomas.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Monday, July 21, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tom Descant and Rev. Harold Gaddy. Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery.
