Mary Sue Thomas Graves
September 20, 1942 - July 21, 2025
Mary Sue Thomas Graves, age 82, was born September 20, 1942 and passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Fair City Health and Rehab in Franklinton, LA. She was a resident of the Hays Creek Community where she was a member of Hays Creek Baptist Church. Mary Sue was a homemaker and cherished her role as a wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was very active in her church and had many friends. Playing games, especially Trivial Pursuit, with her family and friends was something she enjoyed. She was a great cook and was known for her chocolate pies and pralines.
Survived by: Son and daughter in law: Jeffrey and Tracy Graves; Daughter and son in law: Ginny and Wayne Corkern; Grandchildren and spouses: Brittany and Daniel Mitchell, Kelsey and Austin St. Pierre, Angele and Blake Elkins, D.J. and Keirstyn Corkern, Sarra Bedell Richardson; 9 Great grandchildren and 2 expected great grandchildren; Sisters in laws: Emma Graves, Clara Graves, Sylvia Graves, Ann Thomas; And numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years Buddy Graves, her mother and father Woodrow and Elnora Thomas, her brothers James Lee Thomas and Jack Thomas.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 pm Wednesday with Rev. Derek Dantin officiating. A graveside service will follow in the Hays Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
