Bobby Gene Logsdon
July 31, 1939 - June 21, 2025
Bobby Gene Logsdon, a resident of Kentwood, LA went HOME to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at his home with his wife and family around him. He was born on July 31, 1939 in Leitchfield, KY and was 85 years of age. He grew up in Louisville, KY. He served in the U.S. Navy from October 1956 to January 1961. He later moved to Sour Lake, Texas where he met his wife and soon after God called to ministry. He served the Lord for 55 years in pastoral positions and evangelism.
There are many testimonies of God's mercy, forgiveness, & grace over his life. So many sermons he preached, invitations he gave. They have all impacted so many lives. But of them all, he would want you to know the last sermon he wrote while suffering from vascular dementia. He tried to write with shaky hands, so his wife helped him.
To relax
Psalm 37:7 Rest in the Lord
Psalm 37:4 Give me the desires of thy heart
Psalm 46:10 To rest quietly in our hearts
God's in charge, not us!
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all the heart and lean not on your own understanding. He can then direct your heart/path
Where and when do we start? The answer is found in scripture.
Matthew 21:42 The Stone the builders rejected, the same is become the Cornerstone.
STOP! Be still, your heart and your thoughts. God through His Holy Spirit will begin to work. This is your time to REST in the Lord. So wait and receive HIS presence, just you and God.
