Amite City Police reports that Paris Sky Brumfield (age 18 and of Ponchatoula) and Gwendolyn Alexander (age 19 and of Hammond) have been arrested in relation to the shooting that occurred at the intersection of South Fifth Street and Martin Luther King Drive on the evening of Monday, May 5, 2025, which left one victim dead and another injured. In addition, Amite City Police is attempting to locate 17 year-old Pharrel Town (also known as Trent Green and Trent Town), a suspect in the murder and attempted murder.
Shortly after 7:00 PM on May 5, 2025, APD officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area. The investigation indicates that several individuals were present during a physical altercation when gunshots were fired. Two individuals, a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old, sustained gunshot wounds as a result of the incident. Both victims were transported to a local hospital and one is reported to have died.
Brumfield has been charged with one count of Principal to First Degree Murder, one count of Principal to Attempted First Degree Murder, Riot and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile. Alexander has been charged with one count of Principal to First Degree Murder, one count of Principal to Attempted First Degree Murder, Riot, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile and Child Desertion.
Town (pictured above left) is wanted for First Degree Murder and Attempted First Degree Murder.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
