The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force has arrested 41 year-old Christopher Parker, a Ponchatoula man in its latest operation. Parker has been booked on 17 counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles Under the Age of 13 as well as Possession of a Firearm with Controlled Dangerous Substances, Felony Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Schedule III narcotics.
***All persons are innocent until proven guilty***
Last week, the TPSO ICAC Unit received a tip about the uploading of child sexual abuse videos that were being shared on a chat app due to the user profile suggesting the source was in Tangipahoa Parish. Detectives determined Parker was the source and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
When detectives took Parker into custody at a residence on Cypress View Road in Ponchatoula, they found drugs and four various types of guns. It was later learned Parker had an active protective order against him that prevented him from having any weapons. Several electronic devices were also seized and will be analyzed for additional evidence in this case.
This activity is part of TPSO’s partnership with Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Office and their ICAC Task Force which includes a collaboration with numerous local law enforcement agencies.
