Allie Mae McNabb Smith

July 30, 1957 - May 18, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Allie Mae McNabb Smith, age 67, who departed this life on May 18, 2025, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Allie Mae, a cherished resident with deep roots in Foxworth, Sandy Hook, and Washington Parish, found joy in the beauty of nature, particularly in collecting an array of rocks and stones that spoke to her adventurous spirit.

A loving mother and devoted grandmother, Allie Mae leaves behind her beloved daughter, Stephanie McNabb, as well as two sons, Frank Wempren and Brent Wempren. She will be fondly remembered by her eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her warmth and kindness. Throughout her life, Allie Mae cherished her numerous nieces and nephews, often sharing her love and wisdom with them.

Allie Mae was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Frank Wempren, and her dear parents, Hollis and Mae Don McNabb. She is also reunited with her loving siblings: sisters Elaine Fornea, Nita Gerald, and Dimple Darr, as well as brothers Hollis Ferrel McNabb, Basil McNabb, and Julius McNabb.

In honoring her memory, Brown-McGehee Funeral Home has been entrusted with final arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later date, providing an opportunity for family and friends to gather and celebrate the remarkable life of Allie Mae McNabb Smith, who touched so many hearts and will be deeply missed by all.

As we prepare to say our farewells, let us remember the joy she brought into our lives and carry her spirit with us always.
