Robin Carol Dunigan

January 31, 1964 - May 9, 2025

Mrs. Robin Carol Dunigan, age 61, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9, 2025 in Covington, Louisiana, surrounded by the love of her family and the grace of her faith.

Born on January 31, 1964, in Carthage, Mississippi, Robin was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and servant of Christ, whose life was marked by compassion, creativity and unwavering dedication to others. Her journey was one of selfless service—both in her home and in her community.

Robin shared 43 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Daryl Dunigan. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family and ministry. Their union was blessed with seven children: Andrea (Jeff) Tinsley, Kayla (Jason) Payne, Ashleigh (Nick) Taylor, Elizabeth Dunigan, Madison Dunigan, Rhianna Dunigan and Isabella Dunigan. Robin cherished her role as “MawMaw” to her treasured grandchildren. Aiden, Adyline, and Andrew James Tinsley; Anaylce Payne; Ryleigh Fulks; and Sadie Dunigan. Though her granddaughter Oakleigh Dunigan preceded her death, Robin’s love for all her grandchildren was boundless and ever-present.

She is also remembered with love by her mother Alice Quick; parents-in-love Willard and Lucille Dunigan; siblings Cynthia Dickerson and Colon Quick; and is reunited in peace with her father Paul Quick and brother David Quick.

Robin’s professional life reflected her nurturing spirit. She worked for Wal-Mart for several years and served as the manager of Parsons Luggage for a time. Her heart for ministry led her to become the secretary of the Baptist Missions office in Franklinton, Louisiana. She also ran the after-school program at Hillcrest and worked in Building Blocks Daycare—roles that allowed her to pour into the lives children with patience and joy.

A faithful member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, Robin was deeply involved in worship ministry alongside Daryl, who has served as Minister of Music and Education there for 28 years. Robin’s musical gifts were many—she sang with passion and played both piano and organ to help lead worship services. Often working behind the scenes on the multimedia team, she ensured that each service ran smoothly so other could experience God’s presence.

Robin’s love extended far beyond her immediate family. Over the past two decades, she and Daryl opened their hearts and home to 147 foster children. Her compassion for children in need was a living testimony of her faith—a legacy that will continue to inspire all that knew her.

In addition to her ministry work and caregiving roles, Robin found joy in creative expression. She loved cross-stitching sculpture themed pieces and sewing beautiful outfits for her daughters. Her hands were rarely still—always crafting something meaningful or comforting someone in need.

Robin touched countless lives through quiet acts of kindness and steadfast faith. She was a Godly wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, friend, and a true servant leader whose influence will echo through generations.

A celebration of Robin’s life will be held at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Franklinton, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the multimedia ministry at Hillcrest Baptist Church in memory of Robin Dunigan—a fitting tribute to a woman who faithfully served behind the scenes so that others could see the light.

Robin Carol Dunigan lived a life rooted in love for God, for family, and for every child wfo crossed her path. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her strength to those who carry forward her legacy of grace. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday May 24, 2025 at Hillcrest Baptist Church (2201 Washington Street, Franklinton, LA 70438). Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am with the Memorial Service starting at 11:00 am.
