Jesse B. Parker
July 27, 1937 - April 14, 2025
Jesse B. Parker, age 87, embarked on his ultimate fishing trip with the Lord on April 14, 2025, surrounded by his beloved wife and children at his cherished home in Bush, Louisiana. Born on July 27, 1937, Jesse was a proud graduate of Covington High School and later earned his engineering degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Throughout his life, he found solace and joy on the water, passionately pursuing his love for bass fishing. When he wasn’t casting lines, his heart was filled by the laughter and warmth of his loving family.
Jesse leaves behind a legacy of love and connection, survived by his devoted wife, Pamela “Pam” K. Parker; his son, Thomas G. Parker; his daughters, Margaret Hickox and Susan Brown (Mike); and his bonus son, David Babcock. He was also a proud grandfather to Joseph “Joey” Hickox and Allison Brown, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who cherished him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lennie and Ruth Parker; his brother, Dudley A. Parker; and his sister, Frances Parker O’Berry Wheeler.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home has been entrusted with final arrangements. A celebration of Jesse’s life will take place at Hebron Baptist Church in Bush, Louisiana, on April 26, 2025, at 10AM. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring the remarkable life of a man who touched so many hearts and whose spirit will forever resonate in the love of those he leaves behind.
In remembrance of Jesse, let us gather to share stories, laughter, and the fond memories that make up the beautiful tapestry of his life.
