FHS Sophomore Drew Brown wins Best of Show in Louisiana's Federal Jr. Duck Stamp Competition

Congratulations to the Louisiana Junior Duck Stamp Best of Show winner Drew Brown! Drew, the 16 year-old son of Justin and Meghann Brown, is an art student at Franklinton High School in Mrs. Taffenie Mizell's class. His colored pencil masterpiece of a Green-winged Teal drake was submitted for the 33rd annual Federal Jr. Duck Stamp competition and he won Best of Show. The art competition raises funds to educate and engage our nation's youth in wildlife and wetlands conservation and outdoor recreation.

Drew's Louisiana Best of Show artwork will now go on to be judged at the national level where he will compete against students from other states. All state winner's artwork will be displayed in Washington D.C. for a year.

As a Ducks Unlimited member, avid outdoorsman and duck poultryman, Drew has a passion for waterfowl. He enjoys going hunting with his dad and says there's nothing more beautiful than watching the sunrise from a duck blind.
