Over 100 MPH Pursuit by WPSO Ends in Multiple Charges

On March 16, 2025, 35 year-old Kenneth Beaubouef of Independence, was arrested by the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office on the following charges; Passing in a no-passing zone, Aggravated Resisting by flight, Resisting an officer with force (simple assault), Possession of controlled dangerous substances with a weapon present, 3rd offense possession of drug paraphernalia, Simple possession of marijuana, Aggravated obstruction of commerce/roadway, No motorcycle endorsement, No insurance, Failure to change/secure registration, and Contempt of court.

Shortly after 7:00PM on Sunday (March 16, 2025), a WPSO deputy observed a black motorcycle pass several vehicles at a high rate of speed in a double yellow no-passing zone on Highway 10. After the deputy attempted to stop the motorcycle, the suspect accelerated quickly and continued to weave dangerously through traffic, passing several more vehicles and traveling at speeds over 100mph while attempting to evade capture.

The pursuit continued north along Highway 1056, onto Mt. Pisgah Rd and onto J P Alford Rd. A second deputy was able to quickly set up a roadblock at the end of J P Alford Rd., forcing the suspect into a gravel parking lot where the two deputies worked to block the motorcycle from re-entering the roadway. After failing to comply with several verbal and visual commands, the suspect was forcibly removed from his motorcycle and subsequently arrested. Upon searching the suspect’s person and backpack, two loaded firearms were found, in addition to controlled substances and paraphernalia.

Beaubouef was then transported to the Washington Parish Jail for booking, where he is being held on a $75,000 bond.
