Mrs. Barbara McCann Welch passed away peacefully on Monday, March 24, 2025, she was 91. S
he was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Welch, Sr., her son, Gary Welch, Sr., her siblings, Leroy McCann, Robert McCann, Jack McCann, Charlie McCann, Clarence McCann, III, JoAnn Basye, Kate and Helen, her grandchildren, Thomas Welch, IV, Marlin Swaggerty, and great grandchildren, Jonathan Welch and Riley Edwards.
She is survived by her children, George and Sandra Holmes, Deborah Hoover (Ed), Thomas Welch, Jr., Pamela Cantwell and Troy Welch, Sr., and survived by 22 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.
Barbara was born in Columbus, OH and was a longtime resident of St Tammany Parish. She was a Nurse’s Aide for many years at St Tammany Hospital and retired from St Tammany Hospital and MarketMax.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral service on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 4:00 pm at E J Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA and the visitation will begin at 1:00 pm until service time. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
