Ricardo Lopez

May 20, 1947 - March 3, 2025

“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and unto his courts with praise: be thankful to him and bless

Ricardo Lopez was born on May 20, 1947, in Bogalusa, Louisiana to Mr. Ebelio Lopez, Sr. and Mrs. Clara Olivia Payton Lopez.  

He graduated from Central Memorial High School Class of 1965.  After graduation he moved to Chicago, Illinois and was employed at the University of Chicago Medical Center until his retirement in 2012. 

He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Leonita Angela Lopez and son, Alejandro (Lindsey) Lopez Stewart, Sr.; three brothers, Pastor Cornelio (Michelle) Lopez of Boston, Massachusetts, Fernando (Monika) Lopez of Germany, and Benito (Kathy) Lopez of Angie, Louisiana; one sister, Ophelia (Charles) Hunter of New Orleans, Louisiana; 13 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by a son, Ricardo Ebelio Lopez, I and one brother, Ebelio Lopez, Jr. 

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 12:00PM - 2:00PM followed by the funeral service at 2:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Cornelio Lopez - Officiating. Interment - Bogalusa Cemetery. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home - Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
