Juanita Lott

August 17, 1956 - February 7, 2025

Juanita Lott, age 68, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025, at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was a resident of Jones County Rest Home in Ellisville, MS. Although she had no children of her own, she was a vital part of her nieces’ and nephews’ lives.

Miss Lott is survived by her three sisters: Patricia Singley of Ellisville, MS, Dianne (Tommy) Proctor of Roanoke, VA, and Alice Faye Rogers of Roanoke, VA; nieces and nephews: James (Kimmie) Proctor of Radford, VA, Chris Proctor of Roanoke, VA, Candace (Thomas) Guthrie of Ellisville, MS, Cody (Lorena) Singley of Ellisville, MS, Melissa Proctor of Roanoke, VA, Brandi (Chris) Cook of Salem, VA, and Faye Rogers of Roanoke, VA; and great-nieces, great-nephews, and one great-great-nephew. She was also survived by other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Evelyn Lott; grandparents: Hamp and Toy Lott; a baby sister; and two brothers-in-law: Waymon Singley and Jack Rogers.

The family wants to thank all the nurses and staff at Jones County Rest Home for taking such good care of Miss Lott during her time there.

Active pallbearers who will proudly serve the family are as follows: Thomas Guthrie, Gabe Proctor, Josh Thomas, Zachary Seal, Billy Ray Freeman, and Russel Bonura. The honorary pallbearer is Mr. Levi Jones.

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Visitation will start Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 10Am until 1PM. Immediately after visitation, a graveside service will take place at Rester Cemetery in Varnado, LA. Bro. Mark Hobgood will officiate service.
