Elanda Lee "Lolly" Hamilton

February 16, 1948 - February 3, 2025

Elanda Lee "Lolly" Hamilton, age 76 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away peacefully Monday night February 3, 2025 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of New Orleans, born on February 16, 1948 and had lived in Washington Parish for the last 25 years. She was known as Lolly to her friends and family. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Franklinton. Lolly worked alongside her husband in all their business endeavors, including selling fruits and vegetables, Christmas trees and other seasonal goods throughout the year. She was an excellent cook, especially her dressing, chicken ‘n dumplins and gumbo, which are just some of the family favorites. Lolly was an avid New Orleans Saints fan that loved Mardi Gras and lots of pretty jewelry. She had a huge panda bear collection that she inherited from her sister and continued to grow it through the years. Lolly adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with her family. She will be forever sadly missed by her husband, loved ones and all that knew her well.

Survived by: Husband of 25 years: Bobby Hamilton of Franklinton; 2 Daughters: Danielle Ceaser of New Orleans, Bobbie Gail “Candy” Hamilton of Lucedale, MS; Grandchildren: Shayna Ceaser, Trevor Ceaser, Ashtyn Ceaser; Great-granddaughter: Emmersyn Elanda Francis; Brother: Dale Adams of Michigan; Brothers in law and a Sister in law: Frankie Hamilton, Johnny Hamilton, Goldie Harvey; Also numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents Clemille Joseph Adams and Yettive Hill Adams, twin sister Sandra Adams, sisters Betty Jean Bowers, Iola Hebert, brothers Clemille Adams, Jr., Raymond Adams, mother in law Ethel Crain, sister in law Mary Lou Merritt and other family members.

Visitation will be at First Baptist Church (903 Cleveland Street, Franklinton) on Thursday February 6th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2:00 pm Thursday with Rev. Paul Watts and Rev. Joey Miller officiating. A special eulogy will be given by her granddaughter Shayna. Burial will follow in the Acy’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
