The Fiscal Review Committee is to meet on Wednesday (January 29, 2025) at 1:30 PM in Senate Room F in Baton Rouge. The only relevant item on the Agenda is the City of Bogalusa. What will they consider? What action(s) will be taken? Will the Committee name a Fiscal Administrator? Stay tuned!

Since taking offices on January 1, 2023, the Mayor and Council have had a troubled relationship with Council meetings devolving into what the Mayor has termed “a clown show”. Accurate! Continuous name-calling and disrespect directed toward Council members has been common but, in our opinion, undeserved. But beyond the drama is the lack of clarity regarding the City's finances. Repeated requests for financials by the Council have gone unanswered. Something has to be done.
