Johnny Wesley Brumfield

November 27, 1965 - January 20, 2025

On November 27, 1965, a healthy boy was born to Lillie and the late Johnny Wesley Brumfield, they named him Johnny Weston Brumfield “lil Johnny” at Lallie Kemp Charity Hospital, in Independence La.

Lil Johnny lived many lives. He attended Chesbrough Elementary. Later in life he became a tutor for troubled men. He received his welding degree and proceeded to work as a welder.

Lil Johnny impacted on so many people, he was full of life and the life of any party.

Lil Johnny departed this life on January 20, 2025, in Baton Rouge, LA at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his father Johnny Wesley Brumfield, his baby brother Melton Jerome Brumfield, and his Paternal and Maternal Grandparents.

He leaves behind his mother, Lillie Brumfield; his children, Jermaine, Terrance, Tiffany, and Johnathan Brumfield, Keith Warren, and Mia Oswald; ten grandchildren; one sister, Fa’Chinnia Miller; two God sisters, Jackie and Jill Huff and a host of nieces and nephews. Johnnys life will forever be remembered in the hearts of his loved ones.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM followed by the funeral service at 1:00PM at Union Chapel AME Church with Rev. Clifford Minor – Officiating. Interment will be held at the Union Chapel Church Cemetery. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
