Cleveland Hampton Fones

November 17, 1942 - December 28, 2024

Cleveland Hampton Fones, aged 82, born in Montross, Virginia, left this earth peacefully at his home in Bogalusa, Louisiana on December 28, 2024. 

He is survived by his wife Tish; sons, Gil Fones, Don Farnsworth; grandsons, Adam and Cullen. Also surviving are his siblings, Howard (Sue) Fones, Gladys (Pete) Foley, Linda (Robert) King, Betty Burnett, Diane Kilmon, Clarence "Hat" Fones, Rita (Calvin) Balderson, and Ronnie Fones.

For most of his life, "Little Hampton" was a contractor, where he built and remodeled houses. He continued to do that in Louisiana, especially during the post Hurricane Katrina destruction. He was rarely softspoken, but that was one of the things people admired about him. 

Private services will be planned for a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Bogalusa Help Center, Food Bank.
