On January 8, 2025, Detectives with the Bogalusa Police Department arrested 20 year-old, Jaheim Leonte Hooks of Angie, La. Hooks was arrested on warrants for (1 count) 2nd Degree Murder, (2 counts) Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, (1 count) Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities, and (1 count) Aggravated Criminal Damage to property. These charges stem from the 2023 homicide of 20 year old, Tajdryn Forbes.

Hooks was located and arrested as a fugitive in St Tammany Parish, transported to the Bogalusa City Jail where he was booked and then transported to the Washington Parish jail where he remains.
Bond has not been set.
