The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting, which occurred Friday (December 20, 2024) afternoon in the 1100 block of McCoy Road in the Folsom area.
Responding deputies located a male subject with multiple gunshot wounds. He was airlifted to an area hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
Detectives with the STPSO Office Major Crimes Unit conducted a search of a nearby residence associated with the individual who had been shot, and inside that residence, they located a substantial amount of marijuana and a firearm that had been previously reported as lost. That firearm is believed to have been involved in the shooting incident.
Kaden Robertson, age 19, has been arrested for obstruction of justice for removing the firearm from the scene and attempting to hide it in the residence. He was also issued a summons in reference to misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
The shooting incident and the additional marijuana discovered at the residence is still under investigation and additional arrests are expected. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985) 898-2338.
