Charles Wayne Fazekas

June 15, 1946 - December 27, 2024

Charles Wayne Fazekas, age 78 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away Friday morning December 27, 2024 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. He worked installation for AT&T for 30 years, spending the majority of his career in the New Orleans area, then relocating to New York City for the final 11 years, before retiring. Wayne and his family moved back to Louisiana and settled in Franklinton in 1995. Currently, he worked in the Men’s Department of the Bogalusa Wal-Mart where he thoroughly enjoyed meeting customers and visiting with his many co-workers for the last 18 years. They all loved Mr. Wayne. He loved fishing in the Bogue Chitto River and taking care of the family’s pet dogs, cats and even parakeets. He enjoyed watching his favorite movies and spiritual programs on TV. Wayne often spread the gospel of his savior Jesus Christ to people he encountered at work and others he would meet. He always enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survived by: Daughter: Holly Ann Fazekas of Folsom; Grandson: Luke Kevin Fazekas; Sister and Brother in law: Diane and Charles Ray Smith of Mt. Hermon; Sister in law and Brother in law: Joyce and Gary Shaw of St. Charles, MO; Nieces and Nephews: Robin Brock, Greg Smith, Ed Houk, Wayne Houk, Carla Houk Barrie; Also numerous other family members and friends

He was preceded in death by his sons Jason Charles Fazekas, Kevin Wayne Fazekas, wife of 48 years Judith Dick Fazekas, parents Charles Fazekas and Irene Balint Fazekas, father in law and mother in law Carlos Dick and Helen Williamson Dick.

A memorial service for family and friends will be planned at a later date.
