We celebrate the life of Mrs. Loumanda Dillon, who departed this earthly life on December 08, 2024, at the age of 86. Loumanda was born on June 17,1938 in Franklinton, La to the late Walter and Annie Davis of Franklinton, La.
She accepted Christ at early age and was baptized at Bethel Church of Christ Holiness. Later she became a member of Greater Hayes Creek Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member until her death. Loumanda married Clyde Dillon, the love of her life, at the age of 18. After they married, they moved to New Orleans, La and 6 children were born of their union.
Loumanda leaves to cherish her loving memories of five children, Carolyn Nixon of Avondale, La (Gregory, Sr.), Sandra (Ryan) Stevenson of Harvey, La, Anthony Dillon of Westwego, La, Darrhyl Dillon of Avondale, La, and Gregory (Geoline) Dillon of Harvey, La., 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and 1 on the way, 1 God son Kristian Magee of Franklinton, LA. She was also a mother and grandmother to so many others. 3 sisters-in-law Geraldine Johnson of Gulfport, Ms., Mary Robinson of Franklinton, La., Gussie Davis of Bogalusa, La., Host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, as well as one friend she talked to everyday if she could Sis Dorothy Magee of Franklinton, La.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Annie Davis, her husband Clyde Dillon, one son Rayford Dillon, 3 brothers Walter Davis, Jr., Troy Davis, and Denmon Davis.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 9:00AM - 11:00AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM at Greater Hayes Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jerome Warren, Sr. - Pastor Officiating. Interment - Bethel Cemetery.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
