Elouise Jones
March 19, 1944 - November 4, 2024
Elouise Jones, age 80 and a resident of the Thomas Community, passed away Wednesday November 4, 2024 at her home. She worked for many years at Simmons Department Store in Franklinton and also operated a dairy farm alongside her sons. Elouise enjoyed going shopping and having a manicure and pedicure when she was able. She loved to tend to her flower beds and work in her yard. Elouise loved to drink coffee on her porch or with her neighbors each day and she liked to eat dinner with her family, especially her favorite fried chicken, but her favorite hobby was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of New Beginning Baptist Church in Thomas and she had a special place in her heart for her pet Shih Tzu “Buddy”.
Survived by: 4 Sons and Daughters in law: Jeff and Mildred McNeese of Kiln, MS, Steve and Angela McNeese of Bogalusa, Bill and Shone McNeese of Thomas, Scott McNeese of Columbus, MS; Grandchildren and Spouses: Shantel and Dustin Wascom, Christopher and Mandy McNeese, Adam and Melissa McNeese, Holli and John Smith, Mitch McNeese, Trevor McNeese, Ashton McNeese, Melissa Thomas, B.J. and Casey McNeese, Whitney McNeese, Patton and Katilyn McNeese, BreAnna and Harlee Wilson, Dannie and Dennis Xayasone, Scotty McNeese, Jacob McNeese, Erica McNeese; Also numerous beloved great-grandchildren; Former husband and Father of her children: Donald Wayne McNeese; Special Friends: Paul and Shelia Gay, Monica Beall Barber; Also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins
She was preceded in death by her sons Jody McNeese, Randy McNeese, parents Marvin Jones and Gertrude Crain Jones, 7 sisters, 6 brothers and other family members.
Visitation will be at New Beginning Baptist Church (52224 Hwy. 424) on Thursday November 7th from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2:00 pm Thursday with Rev. Keith Branch officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Honorary Pallbearers are her granddaughters
Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton, Louisiana is in charge of arrangements.
