Edward R. McBeth

June 3, 1954 - November 28, 2024

Edward R. McBeth, age 70 and a resident of Tylertown, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at his home Thursday afternoon November 28, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was a former longtime resident of Franklinton. Ed worked for many years as a sawmill operator and foreman at different mills in the area before retiring. He loved woodworking as a hobby, making countless small items, like toys and other keepsakes, which he shared with family and friends. He always enjoyed spending quality time with his family.

Survived by: Wife of 45 years: Jackie Sheridan McBeth of Tylertown; Daughter and Son in law: Misty and Jason Rideout of Florence, MS; 2 Grandsons: Zachary Rideout, Peyton Rideout; Brother: Richard McBeth of Brookhaven, MS; Sister and Brother in law: Sue and Jerry Britt of Brookhaven; Aunt: Nell McBeth; Sisters in law and Brothers in law: Dorothy Hart, Doris Patridge, Charles Sheridan, Paul and Debbie Sheridan; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members

He was preceded in death by his parents Billy McBeth and Ruth McMillan McBeth, brother Glynn McBeth, father in law and mother in law Ralph and Wancie Sheridan, brothers in law Ronald Hart, Bob Patridge.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton) on Sunday December 1st from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Monday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Monday with Rev. Michael Stafford and Rev. Terry Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in the Tylertown Cemetery.
