Dana Patterson Peak
July 16, 1958 – November 23, 2024
Dana Patterson Peak, age 66 and of Columbia, MS, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Marion General Hospital in Columbia. She was a graduate of Bogalusa High School in Louisiana and pursued nursing at Pearl River Community College. However, Dana chose a career in retail management with K-Mart of Columbia and most recently with Walmart, where she worked more than 20 years and retired. Dana loved spending time with her family and would often travel abroad to visit extended family. She enjoyed playing games on her phone, a good Mexican meal, and visiting one of her favorite restaurants, Kanes Seafood and Steakhouse in Columbia.
Mrs. Peak was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Patterson and Jewel Leonard Patterson; and a sister, Mary Patterson. She is survived by her husband, Philip Austin Peak, Sr.; her sons, Philip Austin Peak, Jr. (Megan), and Todd Anthony Peak (Jessica); sisters, Julie Patterson Miller, and Tracy Patterson Johnston (Donnie); a brother, Daniel Patterson, Jr. (Rebecca); and three grandchildren, Carter Peak, Emma Peak, and Myles Peak.
Graveside services, officiated by A.D. Gammill, will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia, where friends are invited to gather at 10:30 AM.
