J. C. Cooley

The angel of mercy moved in the Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell, LA and bore the spirit of J.C. Cooley aka Junior on September 28, 2024.
Junior attended Dexter High in Tylertown, MS and later got his CDL license in Atlanta, GA. Some his favorite hobbies were watching football on tv and driving a big truck cross country.
J.C. Cooley, Jr. aka Junior was born to Mrs. Janice Sartin Cooley and the late J.C. Cooley, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memories and celebrate his life and memories his devoted mother, Janice S. Cooley; his children, Jaden Cooley, Jaz’Lynn Cooley, Iceland Cooley and Ja’ceon Cooley; his sisters, Annie Sartin and Tonia Alexander; his brothers, Roderick Sartin, Tavarus Sartin, Jermaine Cooley, and Quinton Conerly; aunts, Carolyn (Jackie) Sartin Mayfield, Shirley S. West, Glendora S. Buffington, Essie Mae Pittman, Shelia Sartin, and Mechell S. Robinson; uncles, Robert Sartin, Jessie Cooley, and Mark Cooley; two close dear friends, Baby Link and Tee Tee Dessie; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death his father, J.C. Cooley; grandparents, Rev. Jacob Sartin, Jr., Annie Bell Lampton-Sartin, Lillie Jean Sartin, Nicholas, and W.C. (Estell Mark) Cooley; aunt, Ella Cooley Pittman; uncles, Robert Lee Cooley, Joseph Sartin, and Roy Cooley.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 9:00AM – 12:00 Noon followed by the funeral service at 12:00 Noon at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Douglas Hart – Pastor Officiating. Interment – Bogalusa Cemetery.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
