Harrell Norman Cutrer

September 20, 1948 - September 30, 2024

Harrell Norman Cutrer, a resident of Kentwood, LA, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gail Blades Cutrer; daughter Vanessa Thibaut and husband Pierre Thibaut; son, Landon Cutrer and wife, Valerie; 3 grandchildren, Michaela Thibaut, Lexie Thibaut and Hadley Cutrer; brother Sherman Cutrer; nephews, Sherman Cutrer, Jr. and Joseph Cutrer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrell Bascom and Norma Cutrer, and sister-in-law, Jewel Cutrer.  

Harrell was born September 20, 1948 in Magnolia, MS and was 76 years of age. He attended St. Mary of the Pines in Chatawa and Kentwood High School.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Southeastern Louisiana University. Harrell was a member of the Iron Workers Union, helping build the Nuclear Power plant in St. Francisville, Louisiana. He also worked as a carpenter and boiler maker and eventually retired as a planner at Valero St. Charles. He was a member of Greenlaw Baptist Church and previously served as Training Union Director, taught Bible drills, helped construct the church fellowship hall, and participated in home mission trips. After retirement, he returned to his roots of raising cattle, which he thoroughly enjoyed. 

Visitation at Greenlaw Baptist Church from 6:00 until 9:00 PM on Thursday, October 3, 2024, and from 8:00 AM until religious services at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 4, 2024.  Services conducted by Bro.
