Kentwood Man Arrested for Rape

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) has arrested 34 year-old Marcus Elzie, a Kentwood man accused of raping a juvenile. Elzie was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on Tuesday (October 29, 2024)  on one count of 2nd Degree Rape.

Last week, TPSO was notified by the Department of Child and Family Services about a possible sexual assault of a juvenile. During the investigation, detectives learned Elzie had taken the victim to an abandoned location in Kentwood and committed the crime.

A warrant was obtained for Elzie’s arrest, he was taken into custody in Pike County, MS, on October 24, 2024, and transported to the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on Tuesday.
