Pedestrian Dies After Struck by Truck in Money Hill

Update: St. Tammany Parish Coroner Dr. Christopher Tape has identified the deceased as 74 year-old Ralph Reimer.  

A pedestrian has died after he was struck while jogging in the Money Hill subdivision Monday (September 16, 2024) morning.

Deputies with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Traffic Division were dispatched to Money Hill Parkway shortly before 8:30 a.m. in reference to a Chevrolet Silverado which had struck a pedestrian.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office will provide a positive identification when it is available.

The crash is still under investigation.
