Obituary

Troy Clifford Ingram

March 29, 1954 - September 13, 2024

Troy Clifford Ingram, age 70 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away Friday September 13, 2024 at his home, following a lengthy illness. He was a 1972 graduate of Thomas High School, where he was recognized 3rd in his class. Alongside his proud yearbook photo was the thoughtful caption “No cord, nor cable can so forcibly draw, or hold so fast, as love can do with a twisted thread”. Troy was a second generation dairyman and was the owner/operator of the successful Troy Ingram Dairy Farm for all of his adult life. He, and the farm, were recognized many, many times, both locally and regionally, for Dairy Production Awards and other honors related to his herd. He was also active with the Dairy Farmers of America Co-Op, serving on the Board of Directors for a time, and traveling across the country for business meetings, seminars and farming conventions. Many of these business trips would become family vacations, because free time was nonexistent with the endless, daily work required of a successful dairyman. Troy was a longtime member of Hillcrest Baptist Church that truly loved the Lord and his church family. He was active in the Amen Sunday School Class and the Men’s Breakfast group and always enjoyed fellowshipping with his friends. Troy was always a very friendly person that never met a stranger and liked to visit with people he met or even those he knew a lifetime. He will be forever missed by all that knew him well. Through all of his years of health struggles, Troy was proud to say that he knew the Lord and was ready for whatever God’s plan may be.
