Prentiss Lee Forrest

October 13, 1959 - September 3, 2024

Prentiss Lee Forrest, age 64 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away Tuesday morning September 3, 2024 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He worked for many years as a sheet metal fabricator and installer for Thomas Industrial Construction and also did contractor work at the Bogalusa paper mill. Prentiss loved baseball, playing as young man, and later coaching countless young boys and girls in the youth leagues in Franklinton. He always enjoyed fishing on the Pearl River and listening to his favorite Rock-N-Roll music. Prentiss loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Survived by: Daughter: Felicia Forrest of Franklinton; Son: Brad Forrest of Franklinton; 2 Grandchildren: Zach Bankston, Memori Bankston; 2 Brothers: Nathan Forrest, Jr., George Forrest both of Franklinton; 2 Sisters and a Brother in law: Anita and Ronald Thomas, Tamela Jenkins all of Franklinton; Caregiver and Family Friend: Sonya Perrodin; Special Friends: Gail Willie, David Gubert, Kevin Zwolen, Tommy Ingram, Guy Hunt; Also numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Denise Gill Forrest, parents Nathan James Forrest, Sr. and Nora Bryant Forrest, brother in law Anthony Jenkins, father in law and mother in law Delmar and Aline Gill and other family members.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday September 6th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Saturday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Saturday with Rev. Jeff Sims officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencer Cemetery.
