Albert James Lebo, Sr.

January 12, 1942 - September 22, 2024

Albert James Lebo, Sr., age 82 and a resident of Mt. Hermon, Louisiana passed away Sunday evening September 22, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born and raised in Tangipahoa, Louisiana where he met his soul mate of 57 years, Carolyn Lanford Lebo. He held numerous jobs before retiring from Washington Parish School Board as a bus driver for Mt. Hermon School while also working for Hall’s Hardware and Lacox. He was the “Jack of all Trades” and enjoyed helping other people in the community. He had many hobbies but loved woodworking and gardening most of all. He was most proud of his fruit trees and house plants when in bloom. He is known for his quick wittedness and pranks among his family and friends. He adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

He was a longtime member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where he came to accept the Lord. While attending there, he served on the Building and Grounds Committee to help with the upkeep of the facilities. He was always willing to help in any capacity of the church.

Survived by: His loving wife, Carolyn Lanford Lebo; Son and Daughter in law: Albert James Lebo Jr. (Jimmy) and Melissa Lebo; Daughter and Son in law: Becky Lebo Magee and Scott Magee; Grandchildren and Spouses: Mitchel Magee (Catherine), Brandon Lebo (Brittney), LeAnna Magee Kerbow (Dustin), Austin Lebo, and Nate Lebo; Great-Grandchildren: Ayden Magee, Weston Kerbow, Waylon Kerbow, Lane Magee, Haidyn Magee, Dakota Lebo, Emma Perret, and Paige Perret; Brothers in law and Sisters in law: Charles and Rachel Lanford, Peggy and Jessie Strickland; Also numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Albert Alton Lebo and Ella Mae Didon Lebo, his brother, Joe Earl Lebo, and sisters Alice Blades (twin sister), Louvernia Fairburn, Lizzie Day, and Geraldine Lee and other family members.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Thursday September 26th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Thursday with Rev. Darryl Miller and Rev. E.J. Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
